Export Client Data

Exporting client data allows downloading information about clients to a file for further analysis, processing, or exchange. This instruction will show how to export client data in the needed format.

When It Will Be Useful

  • You need to save client data for reporting or archiving.
  • You want to analyze data in spreadsheet editors (Excel, Google Sheets).
  • You need to transfer information about clients to other departments or systems.
  • You want to create a backup copy of client data.

What's Important to Know

  • Export — downloading client data to a file in the selected format.
  • You can export all clients or only selected/filtered ones.
  • Available formats: CSV, XLS, XLSX depending on system settings.
  • Data displayed in the current list are exported, taking into account filters.

Before You Start

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In the BroadcastUsers module, make sure the needed clients are displayed:
    • If needed, apply filters to select a specific client group.
    • Or select specific clients using checkboxes.
  2. Find the "Export" or "Download Data" button (usually located above the client list).
  3. In the dropdown menu or dialog, select the file format for export:
    • CSV — for opening in text editors and simple spreadsheets.
    • XLS or XLSX — for opening in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  4. Click the "Export" or "Download" button — the system prepares the file and offers to download it.
  5. Wait for file generation to complete and save it on your computer.

What Happens After

The file with client data is downloaded to your computer, and you can open it in a program corresponding to the selected format. Data is ready for further analysis or processing.

How to Verify Everything Worked

  • Check that the file downloaded and has the correct name.
  • Open the file and verify that data matches the client list in the system.
  • Check that all columns and rows display correctly.

Other Ways

  • You can export only selected data columns instead of all available ones.
  • Some systems allow scheduling automatic export for a specific time.
  • Use filters before export to get only needed data.
