How to Configure Hot Keys?
Configuring hot keys allows you to change key combinations for quick actions in the operator panel, such as sending messages, creating a new line, etc.
When You'll Need This
- You need to change the key combination for sending messages (Enter or Ctrl+Enter).
- You need to configure the combination for creating a new line in a message (Shift+Enter or Enter).
- You need to configure other hot keys for quick actions.
What's Important to Know
- Sending message — you can configure sending through Enter or Ctrl+Enter.
- New line — you can configure creating a new line through Shift+Enter or Enter.
- Combination conflicts — the system checks conflicts between different key combinations.
Before You Start
You are logged in with administrator or supervisor rights. You have permission to save settings ( canSave).
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Hot Keys Settings
- Go to the Settings module through the menu or directly at
/settings-page. - In the side menu, find the "Settings" section and expand it.
- Click on "Hot Keys" (
/settings-page/op-settings/hot-keys).
2. Configure Message Sending
- In the "Message Input" section, find the "Send Key" option.
- Select one of the options:
- "Enter" — send message when pressing Enter.
- "Ctrl+Enter" — send message when pressing Ctrl+Enter (if Enter is selected, then Ctrl+Enter ignores send timeout).
3. Configure New Line
- In the "New Line" section, select one of the options:
- "Shift+Enter" — create new line when pressing Shift+Enter.
- "Enter" — create new line when pressing Enter.
4. Configure Other Hot Keys (if available)
- Review the list of available hot keys in the editor.
- Change key combinations for required actions.
- The system automatically checks conflicts between combinations.
5. Save Settings
- Verify all changes made.
- Click the "Save" button at the top of the page.
- Wait for a message about successful saving.
- If there are combination conflicts, fix them and try saving again.
What Happens Next
Hot keys are applied to all operators in the system:
- Key combinations work according to settings.
- Operators can use new combinations for quick actions.
How to Verify Everything Worked
- Open a chat in the operator panel and check hot key operation.
- Try sending a message with the selected key combination.
- Try creating a new line with the selected key combination.
