How to Connect Numbered Viber, Telegram, and WhatsApp via e-chat

e-chat is a service for connecting numbered Viber, Telegram, and WhatsApp to ConnectiveOne. This allows using your existing phone numbers for processing client messages.

What Cases Need e-chat?

e-chat is suitable for such cases:

  • You already have a working Viber/Telegram/WhatsApp number through which your managers correspond from personal or corporate phones
  • You need to add or change phone numbers through which communication is carried out
  • There is a need to write first from a numbered channel

⚠️ Note: Keep in mind that e-chat is not an official channel and has significant limitations

How Does It Work?

  1. Registration in e-chat — create an account on the e-chat platform
  2. Connecting numbers — connect and activate Viber, Telegram, and WhatsApp numbers
  3. Integration with ConnectiveOne — connect e-chat to ConnectiveOne through an API token

Configuration in e-chat

Step 1: Registration

  1. Register on e-chat.tech
  2. Create an account

Step 2: Connecting Numbers

  1. In the e-chat dashboard, click "Connect Telegram Number" or "Connect Viber Number" or "Connect WhatsApp Number"
  2. Select Kwizbot from the integrations list
  3. Follow the connection instructions

💡 Note: For the Viber messenger, you need to additionally scan a QR code to activate the number, it's also on the e-chat platform in the "Integrations" section

Step 3: Getting Integration Data

  1. Go to the "Integrations" section
  2. Find the needed information:
    • Phone number
    • API Key
    • Messenger

Configuration in ConnectiveOne

  1. Create a bot for e-chat or use an existing one
  2. Go to Bot Settings → select bot
  3. Find the Webhooks section → e-chat
  4. Enter the received information:
    • Phone number
    • API Key
    • Messenger
  5. Click Bind

💡 Note: If integration with this number already exists in ConnectiveOne, you need to first unbind the channel from the old bot by clicking Unbind Bot


Scenario Configuration

The simplest scenario for the e-chat platform has the following structure:

  • Connection block to operator with exit aliases (chat closed by operator/timeout)
  • Exit alias with connected response waiting

💡 Note: Numbered account doesn't support keyboard blocks, autocomplete list, and slider in the scenario


Channel Capabilities

Receiving Messages

  • Text messages
  • Files
  • Links
  • Audio

Outgoing Messages

  • In response to incoming message — text messages, files, links, audio
  • "Write first" — expected in the future

Mass Mailings

Viber:

  • For new numbers — no more than 30 messages per day
  • For known numbers — individually, check with e-chat support

Telegram and WhatsApp:

  • Individually, check with e-chat support

Limitations

  • Button bots cannot be created on this channel, it's exclusively a text channel
  • Message sending speed — delay is up to 30 seconds. When loading multimedia files, up to 60 seconds
  • History that was on the physical device in Telegram/Viber/WhatsApp is not transferred after integration with e-chat
  • Editing/deleting messages in WhatsApp is not supported
  • Limitations on mass mailings (see above)
