How to Connect Gmail to ConnectiveOne

Connect Gmail to ConnectiveOne for processing incoming emails and sending responses through the operator panel.


Prerequisites

  • Gmail account
  • Instance administrator rights (for configuring instance settings)

Instance Settings

Note: These settings are performed by administrators. To make changes, contact technical support.

In instance settings, create the following settings:

  • Key: project_name Value: engine-{{instance_name}} (as in the link {{instance_name}}.connectiveone.io)

  • Key: email_proxy Value: https://gprx.connectiveone.io/api/auth/


Connecting Gmail

  1. Go to Bot Settings → select the needed bot
  2. Find the Email integration section
  3. Click the Sign in button
  4. Enter the Gmail email address and click Next
  5. Enter the password and click Next

Additional Settings

  1. Click Additional Settings

If the Application is Blocked

If the application is blocked by Google:

  1. Click Go to "ConnectiveOne.io" page (unsafe)
  2. Click Continue

Note: This procedure is temporary while Google specialists review our application.

  1. Check the Select all checkbox
  2. Click Continue

After this, the page will close and ConnectiveOne will display successful connection to Gmail.


Scenario Configuration

After successful connection, create a connection to an operator in the scenario so operators can respond to emails.


After Connection

After successful connection, all mail arriving at the specified email will be displayed in the operator panel. Operators will be able to respond on behalf of this email.
