How to Edit a Broadcast Draft?

When you need to change parameters of a saved draft before activation, editing allows updating all settings. This instruction will help change broadcast draft parameters.

When Needed

  • You need to change the draft's start date.
  • You need to update the template or broadcast topic.
  • You need to fix errors in the name or parameters.

What's Important to Know

  • Broadcast draft — broadcast with inactive status that can be edited at any time.
  • Editing does not affect already launched broadcasts.
  • After editing, the draft can be activated for launch.

Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In the Broadcast module, go to the "Broadcasts" section — a table with all broadcasts opens.
  2. Find the needed draft in the list and click the edit icon (pencil) in the row of this broadcast — the "Broadcast Parameters" modal window appears with filled data.
  3. Change needed fields:
    • "Broadcast Name" — if you need to update the name.
    • "Template" — if you need to select another template.
    • "Topic" — if you need to change the broadcast topic.
    • "Start Date" — if you need to update the launch time.
  4. If you need to activate the broadcast after editing, enable the "Broadcast Active" checkbox.
  5. Click the "Save" button — the modal window closes, changes are reflected in the list.

What Happens After

Updated draft parameters are saved. If you activated the broadcast, it will launch on the set schedule.

How to Verify It Worked

  • Check that changes are reflected in the broadcast list.
  • Make sure all updated parameters display correctly.
  • If you activated the broadcast, check that the status indicator shows active state.
