How to Create a Broadcast?
When you need to send a message to a group of clients at a specific time, creating a broadcast allows configuring all parameters in a few minutes. This instruction will help create a new broadcast with template and topic selection.
When Needed
- You need to send a marketing message to a group of clients.
- You need to schedule an informational broadcast about service updates.
- You need to conduct an NPS survey or another communication campaign.
What's Important to Know
- Broadcast — mass sending of messages to a group of clients on schedule or immediately.
- Template — ready message text used for the broadcast.
- Broadcast topic — category that helps organize broadcasts by theme.
- Start date — time when the broadcast will be automatically launched.
Prerequisites
You are logged in with operator or administrator rights. You have navigated to the Broadcastmodule viaApps -> Broadcast. There is at least one message template in the system. There is at least one broadcast topic in the system.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- In the
Broadcastmodule, go to the "Broadcasts" section — a table with all broadcasts opens. - Click the "Add Broadcast" button — the "Broadcast Parameters" modal window appears.
- In the "Broadcast Name" field, enter a name that helps identify the broadcast (for example, "New Year Promotion").
- In the "Template" field, select the needed template from the dropdown list — this is a required field.
- In the "Topic" field, select the broadcast topic from the dropdown list.
- In the "Start Date" field, set the broadcast launch time using the calendar — select date and time.
- If you need to create the broadcast as a draft, leave the "Broadcast Active" checkbox inactive — the broadcast will not launch automatically.
- If you need to activate the broadcast immediately, enable the "Broadcast Active" checkbox — the broadcast will launch on the set schedule.
- Click the "Save" button — the modal window closes, the new broadcast appears in the list.
What Happens After
The broadcast appears in the broadcast list. If it is active, the system will automatically launch it at the set time. If the broadcast is created as a draft, you can activate it later.
How to Verify It Worked
- Check that the new broadcast appears in the broadcast list.
- Make sure all parameters (name, template, topic, start date) display correctly.
- If the broadcast is active, check that the status indicator shows active state.
