How to Create a Broadcast Topic?

When you need to organize broadcasts by categories, creating topics helps quickly find needed campaigns and structure work with communications. This instruction will help add a new topic in a few clicks.

When Needed

  • Creating a new category for marketing campaigns.
  • Organizing broadcasts by theme (for example, "Support", "Marketing", "Updates").
  • Preparing structure for future broadcasts.

What's Important to Know

  • Broadcast topic — category that helps group templates and broadcasts by theme.
  • Unique alias — technical identifier of the topic used in the system.
  • Broadcast Topic Name — displayed in the interface and used for search.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in with integrator or administrator rights.
  • You have navigated to the Broadcast module via Apps -> Broadcast.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In the Broadcast module, go to the "Broadcast Topics" section — a table with existing topics opens.
  2. Click the "Add Topic" button — the "Broadcast Topic Parameters" modal window appears.
  3. In the "Unique Alias" field, enter the technical identifier (for example, marketing_promo).
  4. In the "Broadcast Topic Name" field, enter the name that will be displayed in the interface (for example, "Marketing Promotion").
  5. Make sure the "Topic Active" checkbox is enabled — this will allow using the topic for new broadcasts.
  6. Click the "Save" button — the modal window closes, the new topic appears in the list.

What Happens After

The topic appears in the broadcast topics table with active status. Now you can use it when creating templates and broadcasts.

How to Verify It Worked

  • Check that the new topic appears in the broadcast topics list.
  • Make sure the topic status is active (green icon).
  • Try creating a new broadcast — the topic should be available in the list for selection.
