Manage Subscription
Managing subscription allows controlling whether a client can receive mailings through a specific communication channel. This instruction will show how to enable or disable subscription for client channels.
When It Will Be Useful
- A client asked to unsubscribe from mailings.
- You need to restore subscription after its cancellation.
- You need to check subscription status for a specific channel.
- You want to bulk change subscriptions for a group of clients.
What's Important to Know
- Subscription — the client's ability to receive mailings through a specific channel.
- Subscription can be active or inactive for each channel separately.
- A client can have different subscription statuses for different channels (for example, active in Telegram, inactive in Viber).
- Changing subscription affects the ability to send mailings to the client through the corresponding channel.
Before You Start
You are logged in with operator rights. You have navigated to the BroadcastUsersmodule through the menuApps -> BroadcastUsers. You have a client card open.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- In the
BroadcastUsersmodule, find the needed client in the list and open their card. - In the client card, find the "Channels" section.
- Review the list of client channels and find the channel for which you need to change subscription.
- Find the switch or subscription management button next to the channel name:
- To enable subscription, toggle the switch to "Active" position or click the "Enable Subscription" button.
- To disable subscription, toggle the switch to "Inactive" position or click the "Disable Subscription" button.
- Changes are saved automatically or click the "Save" button if it exists.
What Happens After
Subscription status is changed, and the client will or will not be able to receive mailings through the corresponding channel. This affects client selection when creating new mailings.
How to Verify Everything Worked
- Check that subscription status changed in the client card.
- Verify that changes are displayed for the corresponding channel.
- Check that status is correct for future mailings.
Other Ways
- You can bulk change subscriptions for several clients simultaneously.
- Some systems allow importing client lists for bulk subscription updates.
- Subscription status may change automatically on corresponding events (for example, when a client sends a "STOP" command).
