Release 5.20.1

Release 5.20.1 includes all changes of release 5.20.0. New in 5.20.1 are email fixes in the operator panel, clearer notifications to operators about updates and maintenance, and correct wrapping of long text in HTML messages.

Please note

  • Reply from the mailbox that received the message. The new behavior of the "From" field in email dialogs is enabled on an instance on request — contact your ConnectiveOne manager. Until it is enabled, the sender address is chosen as before.

Operator panel

New

  • Replies in an email thread are sent from the mailbox that received the message. If several mailboxes are connected to one email bot (for example, one per brand), the "From" field now defaults to the mailbox the client wrote to in their latest message. Previously it was filled with the default address of the skill group, so a reply could go out under a different brand.
    • You can change the address manually — your choice is kept within that dialog.
    • The same applies to messages sent without an explicit address (for example, from a scenario): the message goes out from the same mailbox.
    • New outgoing emails and CSAT emails work as before.
    • The feature is off by default and is enabled on an instance on request.

Fixed

  • An operator's reply in Gmail stays in the same thread. Previously the reply reached the client, but in the company mailbox it appeared as a separate thread each time, so the manager did not see it next to the client's message. Now a reply sent from ConnectiveOne is added to the Gmail thread together with the client's message. If Gmail cannot find the thread (for example, it was deleted from the mailbox), the message is sent once more without being attached to a thread.
  • Long text in HTML messages is no longer cut off. In the dialog feed, an HTML message (not an email) on a narrow screen could show with its right edge cut off: a long link or word stretched the text beyond the bubble. Long words and links now wrap inside the bubble. Message width on wide screens, emails and tables are unchanged.

Update and maintenance notifications

Improved

  • Notification text in the user's language. If the sender added translations, the operator sees the text in the pop-up message and in the notification center in the language of their interface. Without a translation, the main text is shown.
  • Labels depend on the window type. For an update, planned maintenance, an outage and a channel provider outage, the banner and the label in the panel each have their own label and explanation. Previously, during a provider outage the banner on the login screen asked users to "wait for the update to finish" even though the panel was working.
  • Pages reload only after an update. Previously, when any window ended (an outage or maintenance), all open pages reloaded in the middle of work. Now this happens only after a version update.
