Release 5.12.0
5.12.0 is for teams that maintain and diagnose Fast Line Pro knowledge bases: retrieval checks in the product UI, bulk chunk updates via Excel or CSV, and safer full-KB moves between instances through Marketplace.
Highlights
- Retrieval testing on the knowledge-base page — enter a test query and see matched chunks with relevance scores.
- Export / Import changes — round-trip chunks through Excel or CSV with a conflict preview before apply.
- Marketplace packages with Fast Line Pro — full knowledge-base export without silent truncation; older packages without completeness proof require explicit confirmation.
- Updated Fast Line / Fast Line Pro UI — clearer tables and forms; Fast Line Pro as the primary entry point for agents, chatbots, and knowledge bases. Off by default: enabled per instance by an administrator.
Fast Line Pro
Retrieval testing
Before: teams validated search quality through chatbot answers or external tools — without a clear list of retrieved chunks.
Now: the documents page includes Retrieval test: enter a query (up to 250 characters) and see chunks with score, document, and text. The base’s saved search settings are used.
Why it matters: you can tell faster whether the knowledge base fails to retrieve content — or the issue is already in the scenario or agent prompt.

Bulk chunk edits (Excel / CSV)
Before: text and enabled-status edits were done one chunk at a time in the UI.
Now: Export and Import changes let you download chunks for the whole base or selected documents, edit them in Excel/CSV, review conflicts, and apply only valid rows. Deleting a row from the file does not delete the chunk in the base; a new row does not create a new chunk.
Why it matters: teams can update hundreds of answers and phrasings without manual UI edits.

Navigation and interface
Before: switching between legacy Fast Line and Fast Line Pro was easy to get wrong; module UIs felt inconsistent.
Now: an updated interface for Fast Line and Fast Line Pro is available (tables, forms, retrieval test), and Fast Line Pro can be made the primary entry point for agents, chatbots, and knowledge bases.
Both are off by default in 5.12.0 and are switched on per instance by an administrator — until then the previous interface and navigation stay exactly as they were. Rolling back after enabling is the same switch in reverse.

Marketplace
Packages with a Fast Line Pro knowledge base
Before: a large package could look successful while missing documents or segments — without a clear failure.
Now: exporting a Fast Line Pro knowledge base is either complete or fails explicitly. Installing an older package without completeness proof shows a warning and requires separate confirmation.
Why it matters: moving and cloning knowledge bases between instances becomes predictable — without silent knowledge loss.
Notes
- Tabular export/import is off by default — an instance administrator enables it in instance settings. If you do not see the buttons, contact your administrator.
- The updated Fast Line / Fast Line Pro interface and the Fast Line Pro-only navigation are off by default as well, and are enabled the same way. Retrieval testing and tabular export/import work in both the previous and the updated interface.
- Tabular import changes only chunk text and enabled status. To move an entire knowledge base between instances, use Marketplace, not Excel/CSV.
- After apply, agent search may briefly still show previous chunks (re-indexing).
- Retrieval test diagnoses search results — it is not a full agent reply test in chat.
