How to come back to a closed ticket?
Once a ticket is closed you can no longer comment on it. If the issue is still there or came back, open a new request for that ticket: support sees the link to the previous ticket and does not have to ask everything again.
When you'll need this
- A problem was considered solved, but it happened again.
- The ticket was closed, but your question is still open.
- A new question came up on the same subject and support should see the history.
What's important to know
- The Open request again button appears only on closed tickets (done and canceled).
- The form is short: you only have to give the reason. The department, topic, priority, and the fields you already filled in come from the previous ticket.
- If the topic of the previous ticket is no longer available, the portal asks you to choose a new one. If the new topic has required fields that were not there before, you have to fill them in.
- Attachments of the previous ticket are not copied: add new ones if needed.
- The new request is a separate ticket named like Продовження #123: …, where the number is the closed ticket's number.
- If the ticket already has an open request, a Go to the request → link replaces the button: write there.
- Support decides whether it is the same problem. If so, the ticket often goes back to the same assignee.
Before you start
Step by step
- Open the closed ticket. Instead of the comment box you see the Ticket closed block.
- Click Open request again.
- In Why are you coming back to this ticket? describe what is wrong now.
- Fill in the required fields the form shows, if any, and add Attachments if needed.
