How to export or import a scenario in Scenario Builder?
Scenario Builder is a new module that replaces Scenario Dialog. Export and import allow you to save a backup or transfer a scenario between projects.
When you need it
- You need to create a backup before major changes.
- You need to transfer a scenario from one project to another.
- You need to restore a scenario from a file.
- You need to share a scenario with the team.
What you need to know
- Export — saving the scenario structure to a file (JSON).
- Import — loading a scenario from a file with support for conversion from Scenario Dialog format.
- Conversion — when importing from the old format, the system automatically converts the data.
Before you start
You are logged in with integrator or administrator rights. You have access to the scenario. For import: you have a file with an exported scenario.
Export scenario
1. Open Scenario Builder
- Go to Scenario Builder or Process Library.
- Select the bot and open the editor.
2. Open export menu
- In the top toolbar, find the «Export» button.
- Click — a modal with options opens.
3. Configure and export
- Select what to export: all sections or current only.
- Optionally include translations.
- Click «Export» — the file downloads to your computer.
Import scenario
1. Open import menu
- In the toolbar, find the «Import» button.
- Click — a modal opens.
2. Upload file
- Click «Select file» or drag the file into the window.
- Select the file with the exported scenario.
- The system checks format and data validity.
3. Configure import options
- Choose: Replace existing or Add to existing.
- Optionally create a backup before import.
- Click «Import».
4. Save changes
- After import, check the structure on the canvas.
- Click «Save».
