First Steps with Automatic Check: Create Your First Schedule
In this tutorial, you will create your first schedule in the Automatic Check section. By the end, you will know how to select an Action Jail, set the periodicity, and verify that the schedule appears in the list and runs correctly.
Who This Tutorial Is For
This tutorial is for users who are setting up automatic checks in ConnectiveOne for the first time and want to quickly get their first working result.
What You Will Do
By the end of this tutorial, you will:
- Create a schedule to run a selected function (Action Jail) at a specified interval.
- Verify that the schedule appears in the Existing Schedules list with Active status.
Prerequisites
You have access to the Settings module. You see the Automatic Check section in the settings menu. At least one function is available in the Action Jail list.
⚠️ If you don't see "Automatic Check": contact your system administrator to request the appropriate access rights.
Step 1. Open Automatic Check
- Go to Menu → Settings.
- Open the Automatic Check section.
Expected result: You see a page with the title Automatic Check and the description Configure automatic checks and create schedules.
Step 2. Check Status Before Configuration
This page has two information blocks:
- Notification Process Status
- Scheduler Status
Make sure both blocks show Configured status.
Expected result: Both blocks display a green checkmark (status Configured).
⚠️ If the status is "Not Configured": schedule creation may not work or the schedule may not run. Contact your technical team or support to configure these components for your system.
Step 3. Select the Function to Run on Schedule
- In the Select function to run on schedule field, open the list.
- Choose the desired item from the Select Action Jail dropdown.
Tip: Action Jail is the name of the function that the system will run automatically at the specified intervals.
Expected result: The selected function appears in the selection field.
Step 4. Set the Periodicity
- In the Select periodicity block, specify the run interval:
- hours (h),
- minutes (m),
- seconds (s).
- Make sure a clear text description of the interval appears below the fields.
Expected result: The interval is set, and you see a human-readable description of the periodicity below.
Step 5. Create the Schedule
- Click Create Schedule at the top of the page.
- Wait a few seconds.
Expected result: You see the message Schedule created successfully or Schedule creation process started. It will appear in the list in a few seconds.
Step 6. Verify the Schedule Appears in the List
- Scroll down to the Existing Schedules block.
- Verify that a new entry appears in the table:
- In the Action Jail column — the name of the selected function,
- In the Interval column — your interval,
- In the Status column — Active.
Expected result: The schedule is displayed in the list with status Active.
⚠️ If the schedule doesn't appear: click the refresh button (↻ icon) in the status blocks and wait 10–20 seconds, then refresh the page.
Summary
You have:
- Created your first schedule in Automatic Check.
- Learned how to select an Action Jail and set the periodicity.
- Verified that the schedule appears in the list with Active status.
