# How to Configure Chat Parameters?

Configuring chats allows you to change display and behavior parameters for chats in the operator panel, such as message display, spell checking, etc.

## When You'll Need This

- You need to change message display parameters in chats.
- You need to enable or disable spell checking in messages.
- You need to configure other chat behavior parameters.

## What's Important to Know

- **Chat parameters** — settings that affect display and behavior of chats for all operators.
- **Spell checking** — automatic spelling check in operator messages.
- **Message display** — formatting and display parameters for messages in chats.

## Before You Start

- [x] You are logged in with administrator or supervisor rights.
- [x] You have permission to save operator panel settings.

## Step-by-Step Instructions

### 1. Open Chat Settings

1. Go to the **Settings** module through the menu or directly at `/settings-page`.
2. In the side menu, find the **"Settings"** section (operator panel subsection) and expand it.
3. Click on **"Dialog Settings"** (`/settings-page/op-settings/chats`).

### 2. Configure Display Parameters

1. Review available message display parameters.
2. Configure parameters according to your needs:
   - Message time display
   - Text formatting
   - Delivery status display
   - Other parameters (depending on implementation)

### 3. Configure Spell Checking

1. Find the **"Spell Checking"** option or similar.
2. Enable or disable spell checking depending on your needs.
3. If additional spell checking settings are available, configure them.

### 4. Configure Other Parameters

1. Review other available chat settings parameters.
2. Configure them according to your needs.

### 5. Save Settings

1. Verify all changes made.
2. Click the **"Save"** button at the top of the page.
3. Wait for a message about successful saving.

## What Happens Next

Settings are applied to all chats in the system:
- Display parameters are applied to all chats.
- Spell checking works according to settings.
- Other parameters affect chat behavior.

**Link to profile:** If an operator chooses their own value (not "Default") for the right panel in **Menu → Profile → Operator Settings** — it takes priority for them only. Otherwise, the value from here applies.

## How to Verify Everything Worked

- Open a chat in the operator panel and check that display parameters are applied.
- Try entering a message and check if spell checking works (if enabled).
- Check that other settings work correctly.
