# Release 5.17.1

A patch release with fixes in the operator panel and topic settings. Forwarding an email in Outlook now goes to exactly the address the operator entered, and the spacing between paragraphs in email replies looks the way it does in the editor. Table view displays correctly in Firefox, and the "Table" label in the view switcher is fully visible in every theme. The "Created At" and "Last reply date" filters search within the full local day, and the "Data freshness is currently unknown" banner no longer stays on screen when the data is fine. In topic settings, the error that prevented saving a topic with an old identifier after renaming it is gone.

## Operator panel

**Fixed**

- **Forwarding an email in Outlook goes to the address that was entered.** If an operator clicked "Forward" on their own message in an email dialog and entered an address, the email could go to the people in the conversation instead, like a regular "reply all". Now the email goes to exactly the recipient the operator specified.
- **The forward address no longer lingers.** Previously, the entered forward address stayed in the panel after the field was closed with the cross or after switching to another dialog, and the next regular reply could be sent to it. Now closing the field or switching to another dialog clears the forward addresses and the reply recipients.
- **Paragraph spacing in email replies matches the editor.** If an operator separated paragraphs with two Enter presses, the editor showed one empty line, but in the client's mailbox the gap between paragraphs was about three lines. Now the email has one empty line between paragraphs, and text alignment is preserved. Text pasted from Gmail looks the same as before.
- **Table view works in Firefox.** In Firefox, the first frozen column of the table stretched across the whole visible width, and the remaining columns ended up off screen. Now the table looks the same as in Chrome: a wide set of columns scrolls, and a short one fills the full width.
- **The "Table" label in the "Queue" / "Table" / "Board" switcher is fully visible.** In the Lara, Material and Nora themes the label ran into the edge of its button and was cut off. Now the labels are intact in all five themes at the usual sidebar width; if the sidebar is narrowed to the minimum, a long label is shortened with "…" inside its button.
- **Date filters on requests search within the full local day.** Previously, the "Created At" filter combined with "Last reply date" for the same day could show 0 requests, although there were results without "Created At". The reason was that "Created At" was counted by the UTC day, that is, shifted relative to your local time. Now both filters use your local day; a range made by clicking the same day twice covers that whole day, up to 23:59:59. Saved folders with a date range are no longer narrowed to the first day after you change another filter.
- **The "Data freshness is currently unknown" banner goes away when the data is fine.** On some instances the banner could stay on screen all the time even though the data was updating normally. Now the panel shows the real freshness state, so if the banner appears, it is a real signal: the list is updating with a delay or is temporarily unavailable.

## Settings

**Fixed**

- **A topic with an old identifier can be saved again.** In "Settings" → "Topics", changing only the name of an older topic could be blocked: the identifier field turned red if the identifier contained hyphens, and "Save" was unavailable. Now, if the identifier was not changed, a topic with an old identifier can be saved with a new name or other fields. The duplicate check remains: the identifier must not match the identifier of another topic.

## Please note

- **A new topic identifier can contain only letters, digits and underscores.** Old identifiers with hyphens stay as they are and work as before. But if you change an identifier to a new one, it cannot contain a hyphen.
- **Emails with normal paragraph spacing.** After the update, email replies will look more compact than before: there will be one empty line between paragraphs, as in the editor.
