# How to Share a Chat Selection for a Bulk Assessment with a Link?

A protected link passes a checked chat list for a bulk AI QA assessment to a colleague. The colleague opens the link and sees the same **"Bulk AI QA assessment"** window with the chats already filled in: they only check the checklists by topic and click **"Start"**. The link holds the chat list only — no checklists and no run settings.

---

## When It Will Be Useful

- One employee collected the selection, and another one will start the assessment.
- The chat list was prepared outside the chats table (for example, in an external report) and has to reach the quality lead.
- The selection should be agreed with a colleague before the start.

---

## What's Important to Know

- **Who creates it.** The **"Create link"** button is shown only for a role with the **"Create a selection link"** right (the "Bulk assessments" block of the `Quality Assurance` card in the role form) or for a user with full access.
- **Who opens it.** Only a user of **the same instance** with the right to launch quality assessments in the operator panel. Without a session the login page opens first; after login — the chats table with the window.
- **What the link holds.** Only checked chats (the ones that "can be assessed"). Rejected chats do not get into the link. Checklists, row changes and the skip-rules switch are not saved — the person who starts the run chooses them.
- **Validity.** A link is valid for 24 hours (an instance administrator can set from 1 hour to 7 days). The date is shown under the link.
- **One link — one run.** After a run is started from the link, opening it again shows "An assessment has already been started from this link". To assess the same chats again, select them in the chats table or paste the IDs.
- **Check on opening.** The chats are checked again every time the link is opened: a chat may have been reopened or the limit changed since.
- **Security.** After the link is opened, the browser address bar is cleared so the link does not stay in the tab history. Do not forward the link outside your team.

---

## Before You Start

- [x] The AI QA auto-assessment settings are enabled on the instance and the main "For all bots" settings are created.
- [x] To create a link — your role has the **"Create a selection link"** right.
- [x] To open a link and start the assessment — your role has access to the operator panel and the right to launch quality assessments.

## Step-by-Step Instructions

### 1. Create the link

1. Open the **"Bulk AI QA assessment"** window from the chats table (**"Actions"** → **"Evaluate dialogs"** or **"Bulk assessment"**) — see [Run a bulk assessment from the chats table](/en/quality_assurance/how-to/run-bulk-assessment-from-chats-table.md).
2. Wait for the check: the window should show that N chats can be assessed, N above zero and within the limit.
3. Click **"Create link"**. This starts nothing, and the window stays open.
4. A field with the address and the line "The link is valid until …" appear under the button.

### 2. Copy and pass the link

1. Click **"Copy"** — "Link copied" appears.
2. Pass the link to your colleague through a work channel.
3. If you change the chat list (another source, another file), the shown link disappears — create a new one.

### 3. Open the link

1. Paste the link into the browser address bar. If you are not logged in, log in — the chats table opens after login.
2. The **"Bulk AI QA assessment"** window opens with the **"From link (N)"** source — the chats are already checked.
3. Check the checklists by topic; change rows and the skip-rules switch if needed.
4. Click **"Start"**.

## What Happens Next

- After the start, the page of this run opens in the `Quality Assurance` module (if you have the right to view the bulk assessment history).
- In the bulk assessment history the source of such a run is **"Link"**.
- Opening the same link again shows **"An assessment has already been started from this link — open"**. The **"open"** button leads to the run page and is shown only to users with the history right.

## How to Make Sure Everything Worked

- After the link is opened, the window source is **"From link (N)"**, and N equals the number of chats you passed.
- On the run page the source is **"Link"**.
