# How to Find a Client?

When you need to quickly find a specific client among the entire database, global search helps find the needed information in a few seconds. This instruction shows how to search by name, contact details, and identifiers.

---

## When It Will Be Useful
- You need to find a client by name or surname.
- You need to find a client by phone number or email.
- You need to find a client by ID, visitor ID, Chat ID, or Customer ID.
- In **Without Contacts** mode, you need to find a visitor by Chat ID.

---

## What's Important to Know
- **Global search** in the standard mode works across: Name, Phone, Email, ID, ID Visitor, Chat ID, Customer ID. The tooltip next to the **Search** field shows the full list.
- Search works across the entire client database simultaneously.
- Results are displayed in the clients table.
- When **Without Contacts** is enabled, search works by Chat ID only — see [View visitors without a client profile](/en/broadcastusers/how-to/view-visitors-without-contacts.md).

---

## Search in "Without Contacts" Mode

When the **Without Contacts** checkbox is enabled, the **Search** field looks up visitors by Chat ID only. Other fields are not used in this mode. For details, see [View visitors without a client profile](/en/broadcastusers/how-to/view-visitors-without-contacts.md).

---

## What Happens After
The clients table updates and displays only matching results. You can view the client card or perform other actions (in standard mode).

---

## How to Verify Everything Worked
- Check that the table updated and shows matching results.
- If there are no results, check the correctness of the entered query.
- Try searching by another field (phone, email, Chat ID) if the previous query did not return results.
